Community Foundation offers 223,060 in grants and scholarships

The Hardin County Community Foundation will offer $223,060 in grants and scholarships this spring. That is an increase from $209,675 available a year ago. The funds are generated through earnings on the foundation’s assets. The grants to non-profit organizations in the county support programs and projects in the fields of education, youth services, recreation, arts and culture, social services, and civic and community development. The foundation will accept grant applications from Feb. 1 to Feb. 28. Application forms are on the foundation’s website, hardinfoundation.org. Applications will be reviewed by the Grants Committee and checks for entities awarded grants will be mailed in late April.
